It is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. Do you agree or disagree?

Isn't it the same whether you grew up in the countryside or not. In both sides you thirst for money. You want fame. You want power. You want the women. This is how life is. It rotates around the concept of human nature. Food and water, money, power, women. That is how the world works. The most powerful of people keep that in mind and sometimes even rather choose money over food and water.
One would think that the country side would give the child a better heart as they would see the troubles and hardworking nature of the country. The countryside might have those small jobs that might help the small society. There are still people in there that want money to maybe get out of a hardworking life like that. They might want the women or want to prove something to somebody. The reasons are endless, but they all end up to the concept of greed and power. The country side can bring misfortune to even the brightest of children.
One would think that children from cities would be spoilt, but smart in terms of general. The children of cities would watch each other's friend rise to the top of power as they do nothing. They want to prove to a friend that they can gain power, money and women. They all wind up with greed and money as they attend school. They would see country children rise up from nothing to millions. They would feel jealous, so they would try to do the same. It is a good thing but in a way also a bad thing. Greed can bring misfortune in ways you cant imagine.

Three wishes

My first wish is to make my parents proud. I should be able to make them proud from whatever I do. It's a wish that would, not only make me happy, but my parents too.
The second wish would be to forget every thing that has ever made me feel regretful, sad, angry and made others feel bad about me.
The third wish is to live a happy regretful life along with my proud family and friends. These wishes may aren't the   type of wishes that could get you money, women or good looks, but it is the type of wish that would make anyone truly happy.

Where you go to hide and why

-         There was always a time when something goes wrong. A fight between my cousins, family and friends. I always get caught between them and since I was young, I have been hiding in this one particular place. A place where peace exists. A place where I can live my own world. A place where I can make my own world. This little place is the small attic accessible from my room. My family and friends think its old and unused. I persuade them that it might just break off and fall soon.
-         But in reality, the attic is slightly cleaned and has a small picnic mat to prevent dust brushing off on me. I don’t use that place for games like hide and seek etc. The hiding place is perfect for me as my parents and all the old people from the family cannot reach. I felt like I was in a castle where the walls could never be breached by the awful lot of my family members.
-         I go hide there to escape the bickering between friends, arguments between family members, crazy ideas from good friends, to feel alone, to be in my own world. To hide from ghosts as I was young. Till today, I sometime visit that small hiding place as now I am too big for it.

What I think about when I'm not listening.

-         I think of a lot when I’m not listening. It’s mostly the worries I have. The worries of the consequences of not doing the homework. The worries of where life would take me.
-         Then there are the thoughts of just excitement. The thoughts of when the school ends. The thought and calculations of going down day. The thought of what I’m going to do on a Friday and Saturday. The thoughts of completing a movie or a TV show I haven’t been able to finish and the thought of starting to read a book I have wanted to read for a while.
-         The thought of how I should escape the wrath of the teacher if he/she asks me a question. What I would do when a zombie apocalypse arises. Downloading new songs. Downloading new movies. “I would have been playing football with friends if I wasn’t listening to you.”

Describe a recurring dream

-         The blocks moved around shifting their shapes to fit in their ordered spots. The colors kept changing as the blocks moved. The horrible sound of music filling the air as the blocks moved. The song was annoying. The intense game against a player whom I thought could be better. I was playing Tetris and I was winning. The blocks moved smoothly along with my hands in the keyboard. The smile on my face had never been so wide. Becoming world champion in Tetris, but it had to happened, I had lost just by a small mistake.
-         The world flashed before my eyes. The trees started shaking and the world was being sucked into a wormhole. I had represented the world for the Tetris challenge. When did that happen? I was running away, trying to flee from the vortex trying to suck everything in.
-         I woke up that night. It was the 6th time that dream had repeated itself. I was so annoyed. I didn’t want to sleep if that dream kept occurring. Some of my friends also agreed that they also had a dream similar, about Tetris. I found it funny and weird at the same time. It was the dream that occurred until the day I stopped playing Tetris. Tetris is evil. Don’t play it. It brain washes you, like seriously.

Attach a small photograph of something important to you and explain its significance. (Stanford) ADD PICTURE!!!!!!!!!

-
Its very existence has astounded mankind and me. It is the reason that keeps us entertained all day and night. When you’re at home, and all your friends are on vacation, your laptop keeps you sane. It always has something interesting for you. The movies, the internet, the games. What is more important than your own laptop/ Computer?
-         My laptop recently crashed and I had to withstand school without one. The pain. The horror. The agony. It’s like a part of me had just shattered to dust. The people in the computer shop are trying their best to make it. Till then, it felt like I was sitting in the corner of a plain white room, always fidgeting with the floor, and trying to get loose of this jacket that straps my arm around each other. It was terrible. It had everything of mine. My home work, it was all lost because it crashed. It had my movies, videos and pictures, which was lost again. That day had to be the worst day of my life.
-         A few weeks had past, and I was still longing for my laptop. It was suppose to return today. I couldn’t imagine what would happen to me if the computer shop said they couldn’t fix it or they lost it. I would have gone all “Commando” on them. It was my pride in my life. No. It is my life. School ended and I went straight back to the dormitories and found a huge box waiting for me. I looked for a tag to see where it was from. It said it was from the computer shop. It I felt so relieved. I held the box I my arms so tight and went running to my room. I didn’t stop or listen to anyone. It was like I was in a Rugby match with a ball. I couldn’t lose it or let it fall.
-         I opened the box and there it was. It was wrapped in small plastic with those bubbles you could pop. I ripped it off and looked at it in awe for a while. I held it up in my hands like the monkey holding Simba in “The Lion King.” I plugged it in, made all the changes to the computer by night fall, and slept with it as if it were my very own baby. Look at it, doesn’t it look beautiful.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing.

-         People in the world have different needs and preferences in their life. There is always something, one thing, which each and every person in the world hates. I for one, used to hate school once I realized that it not only helps me in the future, but also allows me to socialize with the numerous and many students present.
-         Since I was young, I traveled from one place to another because of my mother’s job. New York, Thailand, India etc. I had to travel to all these places and was educated in over seven schools. I never wanted to leave my first school. But I had to because of my Mom. Traveling to these schools allowed me to learn the different cultures and languages from each country. Although I didn’t like it, I learnt a lot from it.
-         School was something I never liked. I used to detest the fact that school even existed. Wasting our time listening to those no-good adults. I always thought of what I would be doing if and when I wasn’t in school. I thought about the fun I would have pulling my little cousins long hair and teasing my elder cousins. Watching TV was usually the first thing on my mind. As time passed by, school started getting harder. I suddenly knew why education was even needed for the society. It was to give each and every one a chance to live a happy life. If they fail, then that’s their problem. Everyone wants a happy, simple, and rich life. But nobody wants to work for it. I realized that to gain this form of happiness, we all have to work hard.
-         Yes, I agree that people have to do stuff they don’t enjoy. When you were young, your parents always wore your clothes for you. You loved that. It was like your very own servant that loves you and cares for you. But as you grow up, you have to learn to do it yourself. This also includes potty training and eating food. We all go through it. A day when you just don’t want to do anything. It’s life. We all want to live a happy and simple life. That’s why I agree with the statement that everyone has to do something they don’t like, and if they don’t then it will just cause the downfall of you.

"When people succeed in life, it is because of hard work. Being lucky has nothing to do with success in life." Do you agree or disagree with the quotation above? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position.

-         Bill Gates dropped out of school, Steve Jobs dropped out of college, and Einstein was considered mentally ill. If I tried dropping out of school, college and even acted mentally ill. I would end up living on the streets or in a blank plain white room with my hands crossed around my body instead of living a happy life with money and power. I think it was just luck.
-         Most people have dreams. A doctor, fireman, superman, engineer etc. It would make you happy just to be able to live a life with your dream job and wife, but people that achieve their dreams don’t work hard. They’re all just lucky. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates had this crazy idea of ‘Windows’, or a company with a half bitten apple logo, and they pursued their ideas and dreams. With luck, they changed the views of humanity.
-          If only life was that easy. Today, people work as hard as possible and some don’t even achieve their goals, some just give up because of the amount of work, and some just use their talents to live their life.  Michael Jackson was once a beggar in the streets of America. He used dance and sing with his brothers and sisters to save his family from starvation. He did work hard, not to be successful though, but to be able to feed his family. He was then just picked up from the streets by a random American music producer and there it was. He became the legend and king of pop. He was, and still, is an idol. MJ was lucky that man happened to be passing by. What if that man never existed, then MJ wouldn’t even be ‘MJ’. This is all just luck.
-         Therefore, luck is all that a person needs to survive the world. Luck is the main weapon a person should have and need to survive and live a happy life. Therefore I disagree with the quotation.

What are some things you observed today?

-         I had just reached an institution for Buddhist teachings in Bir, near Dharamsala. The place is called Deer Park and I am here as an intern. I woke up of bed and went to brush my teeth. I washed my face and just as I finished, I noticed I had no towel and panicked for a while as I didn’t know what to do. I had stayed in the same position for at least 5 minutes, then I decided to use one of my cotton t-shirts as a towel.
-         I head out and admired the Park’s beauty.  I had reached the place last night and couldn’t actually see what was in my surroundings. Today, at around 7:45, I took my time observing the beauty of the place. It had a small monastery placed on a small hill, about a half a minutes’ walk from my room, about three stories high and a dormitory and a kitchen beside it. The Dormitories were placed in such a way that it made a square when looking directly from above. In the middle was a small grassy area with stone steps. It looked neat and wet. The dew drops rushes down the leaf’s edges, trying to escape the sun’s rays. The campus was not that big and not that small. Children, of around 7-12, seem to be hanging around with their friends and mothers in the sun to keep themselves warm from winter. As I made my way to the kitchen, I noticed the amount of foreigners that came here to learn of Buddhist/ Buddha’s teachings.
-         Breakfast was fine, although there was some sort of jam I have never tasted before. The dining hall was small and nice. It had some of those neatly wooden tables with a traditional Tibetan table cloth over it. The chairs were those typical plastic chairs. I finished my breakfast, and made my way out to find the sink to wash my dishes. I have to admit; I am kind of spoilt and felt too lazy to wash my dish. But that all changed when I felt the warmth of the hot steaming water. It was cold and my bathroom had no hot water, and so I just couldn’t resist. I took my time washing the dish and even thought of washing others dishes too.
-         I walk out and made my way into the office. I was waiting for the receptionist as he was supposed to tell me my schedule. As I waited inside, I noticed that it was a small typical room, with tiny computers spread across the table. Chairs were made from bamboo tied together with some tight thread of some kind and magazines were set on the knee-high table. I was going through the notice board and found the art work really interesting. As I moved on, there was a small schedule which I thought was a joke at first. Te only thing it had from morning to night is walking and sitting meditation (even during tea time). I was shocked. The breakfast, lunch and dinner had ‘silent’ written before them. When I saw this, I thought about how happy my grandmother would be here. All the meditation in the world can be provided here in this place. Not to mention this place is as quiet as open sea.
-         The rest of the day I was in my room trying to think of a blog to write and was watching some movies on my computer. The worst observation here is that the internet is so slow. As I finish writing this essay, I think about how much you can write just by looking at something.

Describe the perfect home.

-         In my views the Prefect Home does not exist. At least not without a family. There might be the softest, luxurious bed in the world. There might be the most expensive television and laptop. There might be the best food made by the best chefs in the world. It may also be located on the cliffs, with a seaside view. But without a family, a perfect home does exist.
-         During school days, in a hostel, you wish to go to your home. Not an apartment, not your friends’ home, but your home. The reason for this is because your family is there. People that love you. People that worry for you and people that makes food incomparable to others. This is a family.
-         The perfect home could have any types of furniture. Expensive or cheap, luxurious or not, I still call it a normal home. The perfect home should have a ‘family set’. A mother and a Father that hugs you after you reach home after not seeing each other for half a year. The mother that cooks for you the best home-made dish she can make. The father that gives talks to you about school. The cousins that tease you and mock you with your new look after coming back from school. The grandmother that criticizes your looks after coming back. The grandfather that talks to you for hours about his past stories. The dog that runs to you, sniffing you and soon rubbing its slobber all over you. The cat that sits on your lap when you return.
-         The best things in life aren’t bought with money. They are given to you for free. Enjoy it and you wouldn’t want money anymore. A family is given to you and placed into your home. You can love your home because of your family. If you only have a home. Then you wouldn’t just care. You would just ignore the fact that you even have a home. You would go and spend time into your friend’s home because of his or her family. Therefore I think the perfect home exists if the perfect family exists.

A place you try to avoid

-         The only place in my life where torture begins as I enter. The only place where the spider webs dominate the corners of the walls. The only place where the Beatles are still praised along with Elvis. The only place where stories never end. Yes. This is my Grandparents home.
-         When I was young I had to walk to school. Every time I walk to school, I meet my grandmother saying have a good day. It was fine at first, but this kept on going. There was never a day when I didn’t see her in a school day. It was annoying and embarrassing especially when my friends were with me. One day I took another way to school, and the next thing you know; my parents are in school worried that I got lost. My grandmother hadn’t seen me that day, and so she got worried. I was then the laughing stock of school. That was when I hated them.
-         There were times when I had to visit them. They always greeted me  like they have never seen me before. They give me a huge tight hug, kiss my cheeks and give me a huge pinch on the cheeks. I was burning red, not because of me blushing or anything, but me getting angry. They always tell me these weird stories that I’ve heard before, but they keep repeating them. Stories about the past. Stories about the troubled times, when my grandparents had to make a living of the cows and scripture writings. I remember hearing that when I was younger than I already am.
-         Then there is the fact that they are always so loud. I hate loud people. They just don’t have manners. I know their old and all. They might have hearing problems and all that, but I don’t complain about it in front of them. They are so loud.
-         The fact that their home is my worst nightmare just scares me. The fact that I study in a hostel keeps me fearless and sane. Don’t get me wrong, I do love my grandparents, but at times, they are so annoying. They aren’t like any old grandparents, they the types that are hyper active and excited. I guess that’s what makes them annoying. I still think that place brings me bad memories.

Is it better to give or receive gifts?

-         I would rather give gifts than receive them. Why? It’s simple, it’s because I don’t get the gifts I want. It’s just like you wanting a hot wheel set for you birthday or Christmas, but instead you get a weird toy nobody has ever seen or heard of. The disappointment of getting the wrong gift is just appalling. When I was younger, I’ve always wanted a Ferrari or a Porsche to drive to school; the only thing I ever got closest to any one of them is a toy car. The disappointment and the anger you feel when you don’t get it. It’s like having all this hope and excitement because you know what you’re getting. This all ends when you open the gift with the thing you hate the most. I do appreciate the gifts, I do thank all of the people that give me gifts, but I also feel hatred inside.
-         Giving gifts is so much better. Think about it. Your friends request for a particular gift for their birthday, but you get them a pair of sock or under wear. This would just make them mad. They can’t say anything back at you, because we are the givers. We pay for the gift. This is just revenge for those people who didn’t get me what I want. Why should they get what they want if I don’t? I know I sound all bratty, spoilt and all right now, but it’s true.
-         Giving gifts is also so much fun because when you give the gifts that your friends want, it actually makes you happy and also proud. It makes you happy because of all the trouble you took to buy the gift. All the money spent. It was all worth it. Giving gifts is better and receiving because when receiving, you expect too much and when you don’t get it, you go berserk.

If animals could talk, what would your pet say about you?

-         This particular human seems smaller than the rest. He must be younger. As I watch him day by day, mornings he would dress like those other kids outside, with a huge sac on his back. I remember the times when I was carried on one of the sacs, it was terrible, and I was still a kitty back then. He returns home rather shaggily as if he had just been sleeping all day. He walks slowly, dragging his legs to his room and moves into the huge black screen where people and animals are trapped for ever.
-         He sleeps there all day and I take this as an advantage to sit on these humans warm skin. Those were the days alright. He rubs me from my head to my back and brushes my fur. He hugs me tight and keeps me warm. He stops and picks up a remote which somehow controls the pictures on the TV. His friends arrive and play with him all day long after school. Then the alpha male arrives and that’s when everything stops. He puts off the huge black screen and opens a book. These humans are so typically pitiful. They eat like savages when they see bread and meet together, also known as handmurmers (hamburgers).
-         There the two days when he doesn’t carry the sac at all. He doesn’t even dress up. He stays in bed until the late afternoon and when he gets up, he walks out with his other human friends. I saw them once fighting over a ball and kicking each other like savages. This little boy was a beast. He kicks the ball into a huge net and then there he was, running like mad in circles. He saw that one day, he tried telling me to come close, but no, I didn’t fall for that. So I ran. He was fighting like a beast for the ball, I aunt going near him.
-         This boy is although a beast, but at home, he is like my personal servant. Rubbing me, feeding me and lets me use him as a bed. This little boy is my pet. My human.

If you were to look back on your high school years, what advice would you give to someone beginning their high school career? (Simmons)

-         The days when home work, tests, quizzes and studying was just a myth. The days when you didn’t do your home work, wouldn’t bring your grade down or affect it at all. It’s all gone. You are no kid anymore, you are a teenager. High school is the only time where you can have fun and prepare for your future. Think ahead and never try finishing your home work on the last minute, unless you actually can. Try finishing it early so you can have fun. Study for tests in advance so you can have fun with friends. Never do the things you don’t want to do, always be strong.
-         Why do you think your mom and dad want to go to high school so much? Why do you think they want to re-live the past? It’s not because they want to be young or anything, it’s because they want to correct their mistakes in the exam. It’s because their life is ruined. Especially with you around, their life just became worst. They wished that they could just start over. The promises they made after high school. Your mom and dad aren’t the only ones felling this way. There are millions of people that feel the same way.
-         I’m not saying you should not party, drink or do drugs. Just make sure you do well in your studies and most importantly, don’t get caught or addicted. If you do, not my problem, I don’t even know you. Here are some things you have to know about high school, and the same concept applies in college so listen very carefully. Never sleep with the same girl twice, unless she is your girlfriend. Never speak to people you don’t know, unless they are hot. When your copying your friends homework, make sure there are a lot of changes. If you found a way to bribe or blackmail your teacher, then do it. You need all the help you can get for school. Just don’t get caught, don’t feel guilty, don’t get bullied, and have a lot of fun because this is the time of life when you can run around and feel active. This is the time when you can do all the crazy stuff you want. This is High School.

Discuss how a specific place can be used to help illustrate your personality

-         There is no place like home, the only place that tells everything about me. If you’d enter my room, you would notice the clothes lying around, some folded and some unfolded. The laptop on my bed and the junk food rappers surrounding my bed. This all shows but one thing. I am lazy. The books found under my bed along with the dust illustrates that I don’t like reading, well, at least not those books. The amount of DVDs and Video games CDs on the table shows I love watching movies and playing videos games.
-         Although my room does seem dirty, the smell is different though. The smell comes from a mixture of the cologne I wear and the prayer Smokey thing that my grandmother uses for religious purposes. It actually smells good. Apart from my room, my bed is always neat and tidy because I don’t like sleeping in dirt. My table neat so I can sometimes work on some home work I have in school. My Sundays are always neat because I learnt to give myself self rules allowing me to clean up every Sunday. It stays neat, at least until Wednesday, and then it becomes dirty once again. The fact that my room is usually dark is because I like the dark and I’m not usually at home. Most of the times, I hang out with friends or sleep the whole day.
-         The gel, cologne and moisturizing creams on my table illustrate that I am hygienic or at least look it. The towel in my room is always wet because I always take a shower twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the middle of the night. The amount of posters in my room of rock stars, pop stars, rap stars and some other female stars show I love music and women. My room tells everything about me. I bet the same thing goes for everyone else too.

Describe your favorite time of the day.

-         The time of day, when in summer, it is cool. The time when you can relieve yourself from stress. The time of day when you can party. The time of day when you can talk to your girlfriend for hours without any disturbances. The time of day that makes it rather suiting and romantic for me and my girlfriend to talk and have the longest of walks. The time of day the makes your girlfriend hold you because it is cold.
-         The time of day where vampires come to life. The time of day when the huge cheesy moon gives rise to the wolves. The only time of day that is silent. The only time of day you can long walks in the cold without any disturbances. The best time to think. The time f day when you can read and imagination comes to life. The time of day where horror movies can come alive. The time of day when you can relieve yourself of the pain that occurred of the day. The time of day when music can be the most powerful instrument to relieve you from pain.
-         The time of day when the streets are as empty as a ghost town. The time of day when ghosts can come to life. The time of day when smallest of breezes can bring the shiver into your spine. The time of day that is closer to the next day. The time of day when light has no benefits. The time of day when darkness rules and your wild imaginations start to form. The time of day that can be romantic and scary at the same time. The time of day that lets me feel in peace. The time of day when I can think and understand the concepts of life. The time of day when the street lamps shine as bright. The night is my most favorite time of day.

Imagine looking through a window at any environment that is particularly significant to you. Reflect on the scene, paying close attention to the relation between what you are seeing and why it is meaningful to you. (Williams)

-         What a prominent view. My apartment never seemed so warm. Ground was as white as snow, well, it is snow. It felt as if I were in one of those old movies. Everything was black and white. The people and their clothes. You rarely see people here wearing bright colored clothes. Were the colors black and white really that popular here? You never notice until you look out the window and explore things and thoughts you have never thought of before. Just by looking out the widow, I noticed the smallest of things which I have never noticed before.
-         There were a group of girls walking by. They were wearing all black and the only thing colored was their hair and their hair. You could tell they were like one of those bratty girls from the movies as they cat walk through the side walk with a confident and bossy look on their faces. They actually reminded me of my little cousin sister.
-         The sky was bright blue and the sun seemed to be shining bright, but why does it still seem so black and white. The color of the place was grey. Bhutan and India at least had color. The bright blue sky and the glomming sun would reflect the buildings, people and even the plain ground, but here, this place is different. The Sun shined as bright as it could and the sky seemed bluer than ever, but still, it made no difference. The area was as grey as the late 19th century classic movies. Maybe it was a feeling of the need to go back home or go back to school. Nope, I think it is the feeling to go back home.
-         People pass by. Joggers, cyclers, workers, students and pet walkers. They all come in groups. The side walk of my home seemed so much like a park. During evenings, it would be the time when students play around the area, dog walkers walk by, people sit by the nearest bench and read, some people even exercise. This all happens right outside my home in Brussels, Belgium. You can see it all through the window. The environment was peaceful and homely. The environment is special as it is the reason that makes me feel at home and sometimes it makes me miss home too. The environment is the reason that reminds me of home.

While working at the Raytheon Company, Percy Spencer noticed that standing in front of a magnetron (used to generate microwave radio signals) caused a chocolate bar in his pocket to melt. He then placed a bowl of corn in front of the device, and soon it was popping all over the room. A couple of years later, Raytheon was selling the first commercial microwave oven. Write about a time you found something you weren’t looking for. (U of Chicago)

-         It was a few years ago, when I came home for my summer break. I was at home as usual playing video games, watching movies or just reading a book. We lived in a rural area where there wasn’t as much as a mall. We lived right next to our apple orchard, although we don’t take care of it much. My grandmother is usually busy taking care of the plants, gardening, watching TV or just meditating outside in the sun, so she doesn’t have much time to walk all the way and fertilize and pesticide the apple trees. Mother was always working during the week days just like any other parent. The only time she’s free is during the weekends and during that time, she tends to go shopping or just watch movies and sometimes even meditate.
-         One day I was doing the usual. I was playing video games and wanted to have a snack. I walked down to the kitchen looking for some junk food. We didn’t have any, so I told my mom and we went out. We met my aunt and my cousins in the market and we were just shopping.
-         As we hogged up all my favorite Lays packets from the isle, we saw a little ball of fur by the ice-cream refrigerator machine. We went near it and it was the littlest thing I’ve seen in my life. It was a kitten. It was small and scared. It was so cute that I wanted to pet it. As I reached out for it, it scratched my hand. It wasn’t a serious injury, but it hurt. My uncle was the general manager of the market and he wanted to get rid of the pest. So he was coming with a large broom to sweep the cat away from underneath, but my mother and aunt were telling him not to do that as it is only a kitten.
-         I tried caught its neck and got it out. My cousins and I were petting it vigorously and since I was the one holding it, I didn’t mind. Then I guess my mother saw how much we loved the cat and out of nowhere she said, keep it. It was so spontaneous. I hadn’t expected keeping this kitten. I didn’t even think about having a pet yet. I held it tight in my arms and ran into the car. While on the way back home I was thinking of a name for it but failed. My grandmother was at home and she loved cats and dogs and decided to call it ‘Zigthra’. I have no idea what it means. It used to pee all over the house and eat all the chicken from the plate. I was hell for a while, and my mom or my grandmother didn’t even have the courage to beat it or punish it as it gave us that huge googly, watery eyes.

Imagine that you are going to open a restaurant. Describe it and the menu.

-         The restaurant would be placed not too far away from the city or too close. It would be placed on a small hill top where the view would be breath taking. The restaurant would be a middle class restaurant of two stories high and the chefs would be professionals. The outside of the restaurant would be made with simple red bricks, not too bright and not too dark. Violet color might just suit it. There would be a small garden in front of the building where tables are set and trees, big enough to block the sun. Paper lanterns would be hung outside to give it a foreign feeling. Wooden sticks would be placed on the garden as grape vines crawl up the sticks. There would be some grape vines crawling up the restaurant too. The veranda would be the perfect spot as it has the most exquisite view of the land. The sunset would be most memorable.
-         The inside of the restaurant would be made of wood. The ceiling, floor and the tables. The windows would be huge and enough for a man to fit through it. The ceiling would be filled with those Chinese paper lanterns and a huge chevalier. A small ball would be placed in the corner where people would have drinks and enjoy their time. Around 10 tables would be placed inside the restaurant ad about five outside. Five tables would have four chairs, three tables with two chairs for couples and two tables with eight chairs for huge groups of customers.  The outside would have two tables with two chairs and the rest would have four chairs.
-         The table plates, spoons and napkins would be placed in such a professional manner that it would look like a five star hotel. The waiters shouldn’t have a particular uniform, but they should be neat and professional. The waiters would always have a name tag on them along with an ID card picture specifying they are who they are. The restaurant would have around five heaters around each corner of the room and an air- conditioner in the middle of the room as it doesn’t get that hot in Bhutan.
-         The food would be cheap and good as it attracts more customers. The menu would consist of what every common food, such as sandwiches, French fries, pancakes, fried chicken, chilly chicken, fish, lamb, pork, beef, burgers, milk shakes, soft drinks etc. Since the cooks are from different countries, they have their own specialties. Fried barbecued duck (Belgian Style), Burritos, Pizza (Italian Style), and some more specialties. The restaurant’s name would be simple and easy to pronounce and remember. The restaurant would be called The International.

Rm1- This Sucks, Now give me that potio, I’m about to die here.

What do you do on a rainy day?

-         The Rain. One of God’s gift and weapon. The gift of somewhat life and beauty in nature. The weapon that causes mild sickness and sometimes major diseases. I personally think that the rain is somewhat of a burden during days when you have nothing to do.
-         It is true that the rain can keep a hot day cool and wash away the dirt from our cars, but it causes sickness which I don’t like. At home or at school, when I plan to go out with friend, the rain spoils the mood and keeps us in-doors. It sometimes brings up the mood. During hot summers you would just want to be soaked in cold water. That’s when the rain is good; it keeps us happy and cool.
-         During rainy days, in summer to be specific, I like eating ice-cream, drink cold drinks and watch TV o play video games. I sometimes go out and play in the rain with friends, wearing only shorts and a t-shirt. The rain in summer is like snow in the desert. You thirst for something cool, or something that shades you, but never comes. The suddenly, out of the blue, rain pours out from the heavens washing away the sweat that pours from our body. The rain is a spontaneous gift, I thank the lord for that.
-         During rainy days in winter, I like to stay warm in my bed or near a heater along with a variety of food and hot drinks. The TV would be on along with my Playstation on the other side. When I get bored from that, I look out the window and think of the life’s flaws, dream of my life, question myself and question the world. The winter rain is like the icy cold water in the Arctic. The rain keeps shivering cold yet when warm; it gives you the feeling of joy and pleasure.
